My Own Story

I Barbara, lost my health in what was supposed to be the prime years of my life.
I was only 45yrs, fit, active and healthy and enjoying life with my husband James (Jim) our three teenage sons, then my world was turned upside down.
As a result, my career, my family suffered along with me. Traditional medicine and alternative treatments could offer very little to alleviate the intense pain & suffering, or to help me function better... I had tried everything I was shown, you name it I tried it to get off these prescription drugs, but nothing helped…

What happened was I went into hospital in 1990 for a minor operation and came home with a Medical Misadventure Lumbar Spinal injury L3/L4 and L4/L51 and Spinal Stenosis down right side. I was not able to walk without help or crutches, not able to stand up straight because of the pain and had to use prescription drugs 6xdaily, including morphine capsules’ an another tablet to stop the sick feeling I got from the morphine when required just to move, as the pain was so intense in lower back, hips, right leg and foot, I could not take a deep breath without pain...

Then in May 2001 I was introduced to Usana Health Science. Yes I was sceptical after trying everything else that had not worked...I was told by spinal specialist I was heading for kidney problems if I didn’t get of these prescription drugs...
Within 6 weeks from starting the Usana Wellness Program, I had eliminated my dependency on prescription drugs; my spinal specialist could not believe this...I was told I no longer have that pain look on my face, which was unknown to me... Then by three months, I was standing straight for the first time in eleven years and able to walk without crutches…

What I did was start the ‘Usana Wellness Program’ which I still use to-day...

The Usana products have changed my life for the better in both health and finances; I am so passionate about these products now.

I'm not saying these products or any other products are a cure for any illness or disease... Just that giving your body what’s required to work its own magic, as the human body is quite amazing so we are learning...

YES, I still have my Lumbar spinal injury and spinal Stenosis and will for the rest of my life... I am required to have regular medical checkups as I can still have trouble when the Spinal Stenosis kick’s in when walking too much, but very little pain if any these days, unless I do something stupid which I have been known to do, because I feel so good I sometimes forget I have a injury and do more than I should…
